The ninth Death’s Handmaiden book, The End of Worlds, is going through the publishing process on Amazon and Draft2Digital.
Do not hold your breath. Amazon’s automated checking system was being slow, so I have a feeling the more manual process will be slower. Draft2Digital (who bought Smashwords) are not as fast as Smashwords. All in all, I think it may well be tomorrow before it hits the virtual shelves. I’ll update this page with the links when I have them.

Addendum: It’s now available normally through Smashwords. Took them a while, but apparently there were some backend issues. First time ever that Amazon was WAAAAAAYYYYY faster than Smashwords.

I just downloaded it from Amazon this afternoon. Glad to see a new book and cheer up Nial, autumn is just around the corner for you and cooler weather. To anyone from my old stomping grounds in upstate NY, enjoy the weather. Soon enough the sun will go away behind clouds in November and not come back till April. Snow, bitter cold, wind….. Excuse me I have to go and lie down. .
I just finished the book…wow. I hope we get to see this cast in thei lives and adventures after school.

Still no Smashwords release. I wonder why it’s taking so long this time.

still no go at smashwords. the book is listed (without title page), but when you click on the link to buy you get dumped into an empty page. wonder what is going on at smashwords.
I have no idea. There are four outlets left unpublished at the moment. No indications of why (though one says there are ‘long wait times’ or something). Since Smashwords got bought out, it’s a lot harder to get useful information out of them, and I have no insight on what’s actually happening with their process.
I’ll dig into what I can and see if I can figure it out.

Your add to cart link worked for me, and I was able to download the book from the purchase record as you suggest. I was asked which of seven versions I wanted to download, with all seven versions being published within 2 minutes of each other.

Thank you for the book. I usually use Smashwords, but in desperation tried KOBO. It worked, the book was marked Smashwords edition. It is good to have an alternative. The book was good as usual.
All the D2D versions are marked as Smashwords Edition. Maybe I should change that. I’ll check their style guide, if they have one.

I’ve got a notification from smashwords, but the book is still not showing.
If they notify me that it’s published and it still isn’t, I’ll hit them up again. So far, nothing. Which is a bug in the system anyway since they told you.
FYI, today, the book is fully available on Smashwords (not that I’ve been notified of it being published – maybe tomorrow).
