I decided to get myself withesandrayguns.com, so you can now get to this blog via https://www.witchesandrayguns.com.
Hopefully, that doesn’t mess with the old address, but that’s part of the reason why I’m making this post. Please let me know if you have any problems.
Seems to be okay using either name.
Great
congrats on the new URL, but I’ve had the old WordPress address wired into a weekly repeating calendar event for years, so unless that goes away I’m happy.
It should be good.
Your typo in the non-url initial use of your domain had me going, I was like “what’s he trying for here?!” and then I read on, whew! I was trapped in an OCD text loop for a bit there! ^.^
Reading you 5×5
I have been meaning to leave this losy for a while, but I’m getting old and forgetful. Several times Nava has ask for other to name her spells as she admits to being bad at it….so
Magic Charge
Disintegrate – You use Quintessence to reduce your target to subatomic particles.
Dominate Area
Dominion – you establish a domain in which only your magic will operate. You hold Dominion over that area.
hey it’s late but it’s the thought that counts…right?
hope all is well you and yours.
my
I might actually use some of those, if I can figure out who would give her the ideas. Thanks.

Just started reading Fleet Mage Academy by DL Harrison. The storyline is surprisingly similar to your Death’s Handmaiden series. It’s early in the first book, so I don’t know how much it will parallel DH as it progresses. The storyline premise is very similar though. 🤔
In a response to brentboren’s comment, I went to check out the other books by D. L. Harrison…just for fun
I have to agree that there seem to be a lot of similarities in title choice, plotline,…’vibe’? (I must add that I haven’t read them yet).
What’s odd is that each of their series seems to have been published some time AFTER you wrote something similar (for example ‘Origin of Supers’ and ‘Ultrahumans’)
What’s more odd is that their bio on Goodreads almost reads as a carbon copy of yours, altough VERY sumarised and without much detail (also no picture) 🤔
Seems to me you have spawned a clone 😀
I started wondering after I posted the above (and after I noticed my clever inline html didn’t work and that the editor has an italics button 🙄), if D.L. Harrison was an AI author. The work (after I did in fact read it) was derivative of Tharcion, but poorly written and edited. Clunky. Just a thought…
Hi Niall. It seems you’re redirecting witchesandrayguns.wordpress.com to witchesandrayguns.com, but the certificate used is only valid for wordpress. My Firefox refuses to open the site now. It might not be a problem to many, just thought I’d let you know.
Yeah. It should be fixed now (I hope).
I had a similar problem. Obviously fixed as I am sending this note. Was a bit worried something happened.
Something did happen, but it was an easy fix once I knew it had happened. 😦
Good to see the blog available again. BTW could you update What Am I Working On please.
What Am I Working On is supposed to be an indication of what I’m currently writing, what’s waiting to be published, and what’s recently out. Unfortunately, it isn’t always up to date.
Also, due to recent family circumstances (and some writer’s block caused by family circumstances), I’m well behind on getting anything out, and I haven’t a clue what will actually be next. Probably the next Death’s Handmaiden, but we’ll see.
